Synthesis of Mesostructured Nickel Oxide with Silica
Mesostructured nickel oxide was formed with nickel sulfate and cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). X-ray diffraction (XRD) peaks at low scattering angles and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) indicated that a mesostructure was formed. However, these XRD patterns disappeared after calcination. The addition of sodium silicate in the precursor solutions produced a mesos...
متن کاملTricontinuous Cubic Nanostructure and Pore Size Patterning in Mesostructured Silica Films Templated with Glycerol Monooleate.
The fabrication of nanostructured films possessing tricontinuous minimal surface mesophases with well-defined framework and pore connectivity remains a difficult task. As a new route to these structures, we introduce glycerol monooleate (GMO) as a template for evaporation-induced self-assembly. As deposited, a nanostructured double gyroid phase is formed, as indicated by analysis of grazing-inc...
متن کاملLarge pore mesostructured cellular silica foam coated magnetic oxide composites with multilamellar vesicle shells for adsorption.
Herein, large pore mesostructured cellular silica foam coated magnetic oxide composites (MO@MCFs) with multilamellar vesicle shells (MO@MLVs) were obtained, which exhibited a large pore (>10 nm), strong magnetic response (38 emu g(-1)), excellent protein adsorption and slow drug-release capacity.
متن کاملLight-activated functional mesostructured silica
Mesostructured silica thin films and particles provide highly versatile supports or frameworks for functional materials where a desired function (such as energy transfer, electron transfer, or molecular machines) is induced by molecules deliberately placed in specific regions of the structure. The relatively gentle templated sol–gel synthesis methods allow a wide variety of molecules to be used...
متن کاملMagnetically separable phase-transfer catalysts.
Magnetic nanoparticles-supported quaternary ammonium and phosphonium salts were prepared and evaluated as phase-transfer catalysts. Some of them exhibited good activities that were comparable to that of tetra-n-butylammonium iodide. The catalysts were readily separated using an external magnet and reusable without significant loss of their catalytic efficiency.
